Garnett said: I like the game however.....The handguns are awful weak,i know there only 380 (i think) but were fighting starving Africans, basically bones, they should die after 2-3 shots to the chest or 1 to the head, and why is the big dude with the chainsaw a complete rip off of the one from RE4 but with updated texture...

Remember, like in RE4, the enemies are infected with Las Plagas. In addition to being what makes them so violent, this makes them much stronger.
Also, it's not like it's the first time the series has reused enemies
. Dogs, Lickers, mutated animals, anyone? Besides, this chainsaw guy scares me much more than the one in RE4--no matter how many explosive barrels I blow up in his face, I can't kill this fiend XD
Also, my thoughts on the series' change in design:
If you take it as a continuing story, it makes perfect sense.
Resident Evil Zero and the original game were sort of isolated events--set inside buildings far removed from population, and seemingly not having much effect on the outside world.
2 and 3 started escalating the carnage, making it a public affair.
4 ratcheted up the intensity, as something new was added to the mix.
5 seems to be the boiling point, where everything completely comes to a head. As far as pacing goes, if you take the whole series as one story, it wouldn't make sense for it to plod along slowly.
