Startropics is a good game if you like Zelda. You can see from my games list which VC games I have. Those would be the first I would recommend.

StarTropics is good. River City Ransom, Punch Out!! and SMB3 are my favourite NES games on VC.

You could also grab an Art Style game off of WiiWare. Orbient and Cubello are both great.

If I only had 700 Wii points left, I'd definitely get Kid Icarus. That game is a classic of epic proportions and its also rather hard so you'll get your 500 points out of it.
