I see BengaBenga and KylieDog having a field day with this.

lol, I missed this one at first!

Don't forget disolute and Zucas! I'm glad we and all others fighting for the good cause are united here, haha.

Actually Zucas seems to disagree with you ;)

Traitor! He should be on that platform awaiting the giant axe!

Not that I expected anything from someone with a Leon Kennedy avatar (and not the one from RE2).

I actually meant darthdev.

I feel sorry for fans of the older RE games. It's never good to lose out on something you enjoy. That said, I will never understand the enjoyment of shoddy controls and bad fixed camera angles. I certainly see the concern with the abundance of ammo and the lack of puzzles but their is never an excuse for a game to have substandard controls.

I support justice not petty grievances.  Which is why I respect all REs, especially RE4 as it transitioned itself into have a game that is one of the best of all time.  I know most supposed long time gamers don't like change or new approaches but it's something I respect til the end.  I guess I see why new IPs struggle so much.

Why the heck would someone REFUSE to play this game because it's not worthy of being a Resident Evil game when those same people played and ENJOYED Resident Evil 4?

At least, play the game for what it is, not for what it should have been! Just call it Resistance Evil or something! Jeez... >_>

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

well i only played RE3 and thats why i loved the game. i guess that this one is not going to be that good.

I just hope RE5 doesn't play or turn out like RE-Zero. I hate RE -Zero and it's Co-op ways :(

  Unleash The Beast!

End of 2011 Sales: Wii = 90mil, 360 = 61mil, PS3= 60mil

Isn't the action influenced by the atmosphere... and vice versa?

I can't stand Resident Evil series anyway. I've also learned to enjoy binging... but just can't seem to bring myself to enjoy Resident Evil 0.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

I understand the control issue, however this does make it an extremely tense game. I'm not sure whether the controls are deliberately done that way, but it does make avoiding Zombies a challenge, which adds to the gameplay.

I do admit I have smashed my controller against the wall out of frustration from dying from the inability to control the character.

The fixed camera positions are absolutely great though. I hope someone will simply copy this idea and use it on Wii, since the pre-rendered backgrounds can make for a gorgeous game, while not needing a lot of power. Lost Odyssey does more or less the same (although the levels aren't pre-rendered, but the levels are usually single camera shots with camera movement/zoom), and it works very well. Just use that "regular" control scheme of moving your character in the same direction as the analog stick and we're done.

I guess I just don't get it BengaBenga. Fixed camera angles just come off as a cop out to me. I mean there could be a half dozen zombies in your characters line of sight but because of the camera you can't see them. So they run right towards them defying any sort of logic. It's a cheap way to artificially ramp up the difficultly level and hide poor level design.

I could see the need for it on older hardware. However on current hardware you could have the zombie bust through the walls, floors, ceilings etc. Use the over the shoulder view to have them creep up behind since its out of your and your characters sight line. Having something in your characters sight line but not yours just seems cheap to me.

I loved the old RE games (particularly RE2 and Code: Veronica), but I also really loved RE4!  It felt like a fresh look at the series and, for lack of a better term, 'growth'.

As much as people complain about Halo 2 and 3 not improving much on Halo, this series (and Banjo) get ripped for their growth.

Truth is, people just like to complain.  RE5 should be a great game and a great expansion of the RE franchise beyond its roots.
