When was America last popular?  Not under Clinton, we were more liked... but still largely unliked.

I'd have to say the last time we were widely liked was during the Cold War.

For a Superpower you're hated unless your needed to protect someone from another power if you ask me.

My country is not powerful at all, very poor although we have a lot of oil, we're not respected by anyone unless they want to take something from us, we're famous because of our piece of shit president, and we're popular with the arabs, african, latin american and caribbean countries because the goverment always want to give help to them before solving our own problems.

3. Well we have a lot of beautiful women and beaches, also our baseball players do very good on the MLB. And fucking Chavez is pretty famous for his lousy mouth. Violence also is a big issue here, you better don't carri a digital camera or a laptop on the street, it will be stlen from you and if you resist they'll kill you...

3) Military: By far the most powerful and advanced in the world. Including 9 Nimtz class aircraft carriers, M1-A1 tanks, F-16, F/A-18, B-2, B-52, and soon F-35. Huge satellite/electronic warfare capabilities. Large population of potential soldiers.
Economy: Largest in the world by a long shot (unless the EU is counted as one economy). American brands and tastes greatly influence business decisions on a global scale
Culture: Hollywood... (need I say more?) Various sports, though these aren't very influential in other countries with the exception of baseball in a few.
Technology: Birthplace of many important inventions such as the electric lightbulb, television, and the Internet. A world leader (though not necessarily THE leader) in scientific research across pretty much all fields,.

4) Nope. There's no other country I'd rather live in.

New Zealand: We'll beat Australia in sports they think they're best at. Check the last rugby league world cup and the medals per capita the Olympics.
