The article looks like a negative one on how Blu-ray sales are not doing too great.

I was at a customer of mine's house and he picked up a ps3 for his kids and the bluray player he's over fifty and his kids are all older, the guy is a fireman and when I got there to clean his 25 year old son was over playing drakes fortune.

I noticed he was playing on a 50 in panisonic viera and was using composite 480i So I asked where is the hdmi cable or component. The Son replied " we couldnt get it to work my dad tried and tried.

So me being a self proclaimed expert said get that hdmi cable now we cant stand seeing 480i on such a big screen my eye's are bleeding.

after hooking it up and changing the seetings in the PS3 nothing I couldnt get the tv's input to go to hdmi 5 his directtv has on hdmi 4 so I swithed ports and bang it worked 1080p of glorious PS3.

So we went into the menu and beholdthe inputs on the new tv give you the user an option to skip that input upon naming the other hdmi input and stop skipping it directtv works and so does the PS3.

PS I still did'nt get a tip.
but I averted bad ps3 signal syndrome and gave hope to the less technically challenged.
