Just because some people recognise PC/360 titles as being synomymous with 360 exclusive doesn't make it so.
Define : Exclusive
-
- Not allowing something else; incompatible: mutually exclusive conditions.
- Not divided or shared with others: exclusive publishing rights.
- Not accompanied by others; single or sole: your exclusive function.
- Complete; undivided: gained their exclusive attention.
- Not including the specified extremes or limits, but only the area between them: 20–25, exclusive; that is, 21, 22, 23 and 24.
- Excluding some or most, as from membership or participation: an exclusive club.

Isn't the definition you provided that I just highlighted in red exactly what we're talking about here, or does that form of exclusivity not count?

Well of course it counts but how significant is it ? if we're talking from a business perspective i'd say it was very significant however if we're talking from the consumer side of things i'd say it was very irrelevant.
The best thing about exclusivity is how limited it is a certain few e.g" I have this Nike Jumper and only 5 of them are in the world" this is what we care about not who has the publishing rights or exclusivity rights to a game e.g "Nike Have secured the rights to produce 5 jumpers".
So yeah PC/360 are exclusive in the sense that Microsoft has exclusive rights but who cares about that ?

It seems like a lot of people do. Some of them are in this thread. Many others you see asking whether they should get a PS3 or 360 with no consideration of the PC. Exclusive doesn't matter in a general sense. Does the guy that owns a 360 and PS3 care about exclusivity outside of his little world? No. If it appears on one and not the other, that is exclusive to that person, and no amount of general populace exclusive definitions will change it for that person.
Even if someone owns an HD console or two and a PC does it necessarily mean lost sales? Not always. I know people on here that would never buy a shooter on a console because of dual analog, so all shooters will never be lost sales, because they were never considered. If the person didn't own the PC, he just would have not bought the shooter.
There are a ton of different circumstances which change what exclusive means to any number of people, and that is why you have so many not agreeing. In the end, people only care in videogames what is and what is not available to them, which is more accurate than any definition could provide.
