Baggins said: "Look outside the box people"....or inside rather lol. I remember last gen, the PS2 was the thing to buy and the Xbox just didn't look that appealing I'm not sure what it was about it, it just didn't have it. But I've grown up into an adult since then and now go for the games and don't let my bias inflict upon my judgment. I think a lot of PS3 diehards look at things how I used to. You're in effect just "playing it safe" and not taking the easy route by not giving the Xbox 360 a chance at this point. Unlike the first Xbox where there weren't that many great games and a lot of the really good ones were niche market that wouldn't appeal to everyone. The Xbox 360 has it all however, apart from RROD which is in the past for the most part and has a 3 year warranty to cover you there really isn't a reason for your foggy viewpoint and maybe you should try adujusting your view to the 21st century.
You guys just sound scared of enjoying yourselves!
hahaha |
You sound rude and arrogant my friend.
A 360 biased owner asks a bunch of PS3 owners would they buy a 360 and get's mostly no as a reply. Hardly a surprise given he's asking people who made a choice and decided a PS3 better suited them.
Then you and other 360 biased owners post as if those people are wrong, stupid or are 'playing it safe', missing out on all the real fun, etc. etc.
Get over yourself. I wanted a console with games my kids wanted like R&C, that was a good media center, had built in HD movie playback and was quiet, reliable, allowed me to upgrade with standard HDD drives and I tend to play FPS/shooters on my PC. Guess what, the best choice for me was (and still is) a PS3. A 360 was a worse choice for me in just about every way as it is shooter centric, didn't have games my kids want, had non-standard HDD, was loud, was unreliable and had no in-build HD playback. At best it's quieter and is a little more reliable but that's hardly a reason to buy one whatever the price.
When I wanted a Wii becuase I liked the motion sensing, games like Wii sports and how myself, my wife and kids would have really fun sessions where the kids were actually up and moving and having fun there was one choice of course, the Wii, the 360 simply didn't offer what I was looking for.
On my PC I can play Mass Effect, Gears and I believe Fable 2 soon enough. Really in my current situation only Halo 3 and Gears 2 are games that would interest me on a 360. And both I can play easily enough at friends.
Yet you think this choice is wrong because it doesn't match your view which is a 360 is just superior in every way. Well it isn't - the notion of superior is dependant on each person's criteria. A 360 simply doesn't meet mine. If it did I would have one.
Now I can see a time when my eldest kid might want one, say in a year or two. And that's fine. I'll get one then for him if he wants - and it would be the right choice because it would satisfy his criteria for a console.
Now stop posting like you have the correct answer and everyone else is wrong for having a different one.
