I know SO4 is coming to the 360 but how good is LO and Blue Dragon? Should I just stick to the PS3 or would investing in a 360 a good idea? Also Im not that big on Paying for Online as I think it should be free

I've played both.
Blue Dragon has this awesome class system (everything is configurable so you can custom-tailor all your characters) but it's moot because the game is piss easy. Thank god there's FREE DLC with harder modes. If you get Blue Dragon, download the hard difficulty options and give it a spin on a higher difficulty. The story is for the most part predictably cliched but it does pick up steam and the ending is awesome, including some of the awesomenest dungeon design ever seen. Also, Torippo rules (remember to find him in the ending sequence, he's sorta hidden tho but carries a big surprise for you).
Lost Odyssey gameplay isn't as interesting as Blue Dragon's, imho. There are no field interaction with monsters (classic no monster anywhere with random battles popping out of nowhere) and while at the end you can custom-tailer some characters, the process is somewhat annoying. The characters are better than BD but the story pulls off a reverse: starts out nice, the early theme of recovering Kaim's lost family is very moving. Towards the end however it shifts to standard FF fare with the villain about to sap the energy from the world or some similar BS.
Both are definitely flawed (so expect no masterpieces) but still are good games.
Oh, and for those who care, BD's achievements are a bitch.
