Forums - Gaming - For CURRENT Wii-360-PS3 owners only ...

I play a lot : ps3, specially since LBP was release.
Then: X360 .... ( I hope NO to have other RROD; because will be the last ).
Then: Nintendo DS ( only to play Castlevania or similar games )
almost never : PSP and Wii

I play more PS1 and PS2. Those classic games kill me !!!
I am VERY dissapointed with the Wii... inly bargages games, but I love that you can download classics N64 or nintendo games.

If I don't count PS1/2 games, I use my PS3 the least by far. Wii and 360 are somewhat even.

DS is what dominates my playtime.

If you have a PS3 and play PS1 and PS2 games on it, it counts.

I cherish the upscaling on the PS1 RPGs I pick up from eBay.  It is awesome.  I already had the PS3 at #1, but if I take PS1/PS2 games into consideration... yep.  The other two don't even come close, and likely won't ever throughout the generation.

Including PS2 BC is a bit unfair, when you're trying to do a console comparison (PS1 is okay though), since its not on the recent PS3 models... but I guess this thread isn't about console value, per se.

We have had the Wii the longest (shortly after launch), our PS3 and XBox360 both arrived this Christmas.  Since last Christmas, PS3 has seen the most action due to two games Uncharted, which I am playing and nearing finish, and Little Big Planet, which my son seems to want to play most of the time.  The Xbox 360 sees the least amont of time for now, but once I start the single play campaigns of Halo3, Gears of War 1 and 2, and GTA IV, that will likely change.  The Wii currently sees a decent amount of play time from my son, as he plays Animal Crossing on it online with his friend.  I hardly ever play it, but will probably pick it up again for a while to play MGS - Twin Snakes and deBlob.  We also have 4 DSs., and my son and daughter play theirs quite a bit, me and my wife not so much.  The system that sees the least amount of play time is the PSP, which my son plays in spurts, and then leaves alone for stretches of time.

1) Xbox360

2) PS3

3) Wii

Since we are talking about (Consoles) I will not mention my PC and Handhelds.

Xbox360 : 85% of this gens game library is for my 360. The games play better, and arguably look better. All my gaming friends are on XBL, and from years ago, not just this gen.

PS3 : Folding@Home FTW, I love Warhawk, just can't find to many friends on PSN, people need to communicate in online games more.

Wii : Last time I played the Wii was after the Spike awards when I won World of Goo.. before that I only turned it on for my wife so she can go online for lottery numbers.

Well, it's not unfair because you are still using the machine. I watch more Blus on mine then I play games, so someone could argue that. However, the fact remains - if you are firing up the PS3 regardless, you're on it.

360
ps3
psp
wii
ds
There you have it!

Eh for me it's tough. I go on spurts of playing through a bunch of games.

Right now:

1. Tie between PS3 and 360
2. PSP
3. PC
4. DS
5. Wii

FFCC: My Life As a King is the only game I've really played for a long while in 4 or 5 months.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I bought them in the following order Wii->PS3->360 and current play time is 360->PS3->Wii.

As i got the 360 last i have been buying up the exclusives i like the look of and have been ploughing through them, though on a normal day i would have to say the PS3 is the top of my list as so far it seems to have the best exclusives for me.

A plus for the 360 is the media centre functionallity, i have been using media centre exclusively for 4 years so this really is a great piece of kit. The UPNP is handy on the PS3 for people who havent had the ability before hand and the blueray is without equal. Cant really compare the Wii in this regard as it never prentended to be a home entertainment solution.

Comparing the networks for the 3, both PSN & Live are very good, is live £40 a year better than PSN? No, not really, and i really dislike the points system on both the 360 & Wii, pointless level of indirection which only serves to confuse the cost of everything. The shop on the Wii is dire, especially considering their hyperbole of thousands of VC games that failed to materialise.

As for cost, make no mistake if you want to get everything out of your console the Wii is the most expensive, i have controllers of all descriptions coming out of my ears. If you are on a budget then the 360 is gold, even the single player multiplat games alone make it a good investment. If you do have enough money to buy a Wii and 8+ controllers, do yourself a favour and buy a PS3 instead.

I bought the Wii early on as i saw the potential for innovation, and that is something that people seemed to get up mixed alot, potential does not automatically equal reality, after all this time owning it i have come to the conclusion that most developers for it are either cynical or lack any imagination - the fact that the top 4 Wii games making up almost 40% of total games sales speaks volumes about its lack of depth. I will however be keeping it, partially because of the amount i have invested in it already and more importantly im hoping much wider scope of developers will stop letting us down.

The J man bought a ds then 360 then psp then ps3

The order of play is 360-psp-ds-ps3

360 is basically all the J man plays when he feels like playing games , the psp is getting some use (besides an mp3 player) because the J man put ff7 in there and is trying to beat it.

The J man just recently beat trials and tribulations and apollos justice (phoenix wright series officially has the best story this gen)

The last time the J man played his ps3 was to beat POP and is going to get more use when KZ2 comes.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!
