Will it be a system seller? will it barely sell any PS3's? is it the must have game for all PS3 owners? will it flop? will it live up to the hype it has? Is Killzone 2 the PS3's game compared to Halo being the Xbox 360's game?

How important is Killzone 2 to the PS3?

Its not a system seller but its a much needed AAA exclusive shooter. 360 has Gears and Halo, about time we got a AAA shooter.

It's very important and could have an impact on things, but I don't think Sony sees that. I feel this is going to be another missed opportunity from them.

Its a hugely hyped game that should boost console sales for a week, and rake in some cash with a few million sales but....lets not kid ourselves, gran turismo it is not

i dont think it will sell astonishingly well at all tbh, i am guessing at around 400k or slightly above r2's opening week , but i am just guessing!

Its a way top covert hardcore xbots away form the xbox.

Half the shooter fanbase are graphics whores, Gears with out its shiny looks would have been crap (5 hour single player 8 player online come on) the brutal combat of K2 is aimed right at the NA shooter fanbase.

Hell i had a 40" and just bought a 58" plasma just for this game. (seriously aint i faked in the head)

I think its a big title for the PS3, It could give them the shooter franchise they can all there own, just like MS has with Halo. It will move a pretty good amount of consoles for a week or 2, probably in the range of MGS4. I do expect this title to surpass the 3 million mark by the end of May.

As far as wat it will do to PS3 sales it will sell some ps3s remember according to my pricing history thread it's bundled in EU don't expect halo 3 SW #'s or HW #'s wen halo 3 came out there was a price cut to the 360

If it can live up to it's hype and become a must have game for the ps3 it well benefit the ps3 and 4 wen future killzones come out maybe the next Killzone can put up bigger #'s KZ2 is just a stepping stone as it will be the 1st really good FPS for the ps3

The PS3 hasn't had a AAA exclusive shooter franchise, so this does fill a hole in the shooter genre as the better games are far more valuable in terms of sales and mindshare as the smaller games.
