I think you have it backwards. Activision Blizzard is the parent company.

No, Vivendi owns Activision Blizzard. Vivendi is a much larger company than just Activision Blizzard.

"Former Vivendi Games parent company Vivendi will hold a majority stake, approximately 52%, of Activision Blizzard. Vivendi-designated representatives will also occupy a majority of the new company's board of directors. The board will consist of 11 members: six appointed by Vivendi, two from Activision, and three independent directors who currently serve on Activsion's board."
how can you not write nintendo lol? theyre one of the biggest publishers.
Vivendi owns the controlling interest of Activision Blizzard, which isn't quite the same thing as ownership.
Nintendo
Electronic Arts
Activision / Blizzard
Ubisoft
Sony Computer Entertainment
lol at your list.

"Below are the top 20 video game publishers, ranked by Game Developer in October 2008, in order of overall score in six factors: annual turnover, number of releases, average review score, quality of producers, reliability of milestone payments and the quality of staff pay and perks. ... This is the final year for Activision and Vivendi Games to have separate listings, as the merger happened after the discussed timeframe."
Nintendo
EA
Activision
Ubisoft
Sony Computer Entertainment
***
That is essentially what I would have picked as well, even in terms of software sold.
Maybe,
Nintendo
EA
Activision
Capcom
Ubisoft
maybe....
^ Capcom is not even in the top 10.
(not in revenue, not in staff, not in amount of games)
But I guess quality over quantity...
