Forums - Nintendo - Can Wii gamers be excited for 2009?

"The waggle plague...?"

What a douchenozzle.

Oh, and if people are wondering if that's all there is for Wii 2009: It isn't. GamesRadar just has a fetish with the number 7, so they have to cut out awesome stuff like Tenchu, Little King's Story and Deadly Creatures.

What a bunch of crap talk..

Sometimes I just can't stand all these damn "snobcores"

They are the ones killing the video game industry.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Oh man it made my day when I saw that trailer for Indy Wii yesterday, it's made my 2009 in fact, WOO!

The DS got respect after its third year. I'm really hoping the Wii does this.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Wii gamers should definitely be happy because they have the best exclusives out of all the consoles. If you really think about it, they have the best line-up this year. Punch Out series is returning, we are most likely to see Kid Icarus make his long awaited debut on the Wii. Lets not forget about the Conduit, which is looking to be a huge exclusive and a key franchise title for the Wii.

I don't really get the "fizzle" parts. Are they arguments as to why the games won't sell? Or are they arguments as to why the game won't be good?

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Either/or. Whatever it takes to avoid being positive about the platform.

They could have just summed all of the fizzle parts up by saying: "Third-party games don't sell on wii." Except for House of the Dead and Madworld, which they should have just said, "These games won't be good"

If you take out Fatal Frame 4 and Conduit and add Bleach: Versus Crusade and Wii Sports Resort, you have my list. Very well done list. I couldn't be bothered to read the comments, but if they're biased than boooooo!

GamesRadar has some pretty good articles at times, but their bias against the Wii is way too strong for my liking. This one is a very good example: they're grudgingly admitting that the Wii is "finally" starting to get good games, but with every single one mention that the userbase is probably too stupid to buy it. Makes them sounds reaaaally professional...

It seems to be that wy for nearly all Online game news sites and reviewers from what I can see.  Wither its from a site just outright liking the 360 more for its software or hating Nintendo for its seemingly new Big Business standpoint/'Wii' Casual stance, nearly all sites out there are taking a negative stance towards the Wii.  Be it shaved scores compared to other games released on other consoles or a clear lack of coverage for Wii games and media compared to other systems.

And many, giving a similar service to the DS, if not blatantly giving it the finger.
