Post your theories on LOST. (*no spoilers*)

heres mine:

I think that maybe the "island" is actually a planet that crashed in to the Earth millions of years ago, which would maybe explain the magnetic field? and the black smoke could be the planets security system. dont get me wrong i doubt theres aliens involved, but who knows......

edit: the island could also be a crashed space ship, and Ben and Charles were on it when it crashed. they then took control of a human body and are now fighting to control it.....

that planet idea is pretty good and clever

I think that theres just an abundance of magnetism caused by some unknown yet to be found element. I really wnat to find out more about richard Alpert too and why he doesnt age.

The island has this eltromagnetic properties that make it unique. Maybe sentient in some way.

And Ben and Widmore are fighting for it.

Also about that Lorenzetti equation. I think time is running out and Ben and/or Widmore is trying to stop the end of the world.

Another theory, Ben ad Widmore already lived through everything and are doing it again. But, strangely, some things are changing (like Ben's daughters being killed).

So now, both believe they can change the future and are stepping up their game.

I think that the show is made up as they go along.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Same here.  I mean they originally planned it to be one season and now it's expanding.
