I was just wondering if Nintendo's image would change if they were to develop and or allow more mature rated games like (No More Heroes, RE 4, MadWorld, etc.) in the Wii's library? Since the Wii is kicking so much hash in sales could Nintendo's image differ or would it stay as it is now, basically a family casual system?

Nintendo allows all 'mature' rated games. Its just 3rd parties have classified Wii differently than PS360.

As this year rolls on you will see the shift of more of these titles come forth. 3rd parties will put their money hat on the biggest head.

The only rating Nintendo wont allow on their systems is AO. Sony also wont allow AO.

..as with microsoft. none of the console allow ao rated games, so they are all on the same level.

Where the hell did you get the idea Nintendo doesn't allow more M rated games?

I think the console's "image" is just fine - it makes a ton of cash while the others lose or break even and have huge debts.

But don't let the image stop you from buying good M-rated games for the Wii. Why would you care what others think about it?

It won't change the image at all unless the market suddenly is swamped with M games.

Dads like to have something to play on the Wii too you know!

I think Nintendo's image will change a little b/c of the 3rd party publishers making more hardcore games for the DS and Wii.

As stated above, Nintendo will let any rating on their system other than AO.

Nintendo just doesn't make very many M rated games themselves since Nintendo's whole philosophy is games are for everyone. Since they want everyone to enjoy their games, they tend to make games in the E-T range. This is also part of the reason Nintendo manages to sell so many games all the time. By making their games for everyone, they have a larger population to sell their games to.
