well i don't care if they make some new series that are more adult like (blood, guns or whatever you consider to be big boy game)

but I sure as hell hope they don't change their current games to be adult like. I don't want my Zelda to turn into a god of war, or the gumbas in mario to leave squashed residue or splattered blood, ect.

Their games are AMAZING and yet don't have any gore and I don't mind at all and would almost feel ruined if they did

I personnaly believe that Nintendo image for this gen won't change at all, no matter what they do... and as they won't do anything to change it anyway...

Nintendo has ALWAYS allowed any type of game a publisher wants to make onto the Wii, with the exception of AO-rated games (read: porn). Just like the Gamecube.

The GameCube, while not hugely popular, was still seen as a hardcorre system. It still got the multiplat games like Splinter Cell, Metal Gear, Beyond Good and Evil, and Red Faction. Nintendo hasn't added any restrictions for the Wii.

It's the third parties who saw the success of Wii Sports, and thought that meant consumers were idiots. They're definitely starting to come around now, though.

if you mean general reputation, no. in internet reputation , maybe. the rule is if you want to know the future of the wii check DS, they will follow similar but the same path.on the internet Ds has now become respected as a really good system. but outside its still hated by general gamers. within my groups of friends people fins it really weird that I buy GayS games instead of going 'PSP ftw'. the fact that that none of them has bought a PSP game in a year doesnt seem to make any difference. one you get and image its unlikely to change. my firends think the PS2 was the most powerfull last gen console, the wii cant connect to the internet, the PS3 doesnt have any games and final fantasy began on the PS1. they also couldnt understand when i tried expliaing that just cos the force unleashed is on the wii doesnt mean it was made by nintendo.

The fact that DS' attach ratio makes it look like PSP doesn't even exist means that the general population thinks the DS is an amazing games system.  For example, none of my friends have a PSP, all of them have DS, and they all have (at least) five games for it.  Some are closer to twenty.  Most of them, while they're definitely core gamers, don't frequent internet forums like we do.

Your situation, while your friends are ignorant (sorry), is not even close to representative fo the whole

Nintendo has had many hardcore games with all their past systems and they still remain to keep the same image. I don't think a couple of mature-rated games will change their image but it depends on what game it is. I think for Nintendo, their would be a limit to their mature-rated games.

 I never stated Nintendo doesn't allow more M rated games.

Basically I asked if more M rated games would change the image of the Wii.
