Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Stroked only possible on 360!

Ease of development and connectivity with Xbox Live is the reason many developers this generation choose Xbox 360 out of the two power machines available. The question is: will this continue to be a trend? Will smaller development houses opt to create Xbox 360 games exclusively due to it being the cheaper, and at the moment, most popular out of the HD machines?

so they can't program in C/C++ the problem isn't power.

well at least its not a good exclusive.

Its well known that programming for the ps3 is more difficult and expensive, so it stands to reason that if a small development studio insisted on doing an hd console game the 360 would be the more viable choice. Some developers don't have enough staff to port to multiple platforms, let alone enough money or expertise to develop for several platforms anyway.

il deffo be tryng out the demo once it lands, to see if this is a spectacular lookin game

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

This game looks alright. I might look into snow-sports games. Anyone got any views on Shaun White (the game)?

How is it only possible on 360?

an open world snowboarding game? Wow, that's new. Sound's interesting, too bad that it's only on the box, I might have wanted to check it out.

Stoked is an open world snowboarding game coming from developers Bongfish Gmbh in collaboration with renowned snowboarding movie creator Absinthe Films. TheGameReviews.com was lucky enough to sit down and talk with Tony Chiodo, a producer working on Stoked. Among many things discussed, one question we were eager to have answered, was about why they have chosen to keep the game exclusive to the Xbox 360.

The Xbox 360 platform was viewed as the perfect platform for Stoked given the console’s rich graphical capabilities and the strong multiplayer community on Xbox Live. The popularity of the Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE continues to grow, which is exciting to us.”

To say the least, Stoked looks and sounds like it could very well be an impressive snowboarding game with its massive open world mountains and its seamless transition to multiplayer all adding to an impressive list of features.

Chiodo also mentioned that there’s a chance we might see a demo for Stoked show up on the Xbox Live Marketplace sometime soon.

“Everyone is really hard at work right now trying to finish up and game; we hope to have a demo on Xbox LIVE if there is time."

/cross fingers

In the meantime, make sure you check out our full interview with Tony to learn all you need to know about Stoked right here at TheGamerReviews.com."

Where in the article do you see anywhere that it says Stroked is only possible on the 360. I see where it says the developers chose to make it on the 360.

lol, this goes down as one of the best mistyped thread titles ever

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
