Anybody know the attach rates(I think thats what they're called) for the DS, PSP, Wii, 360, and PS3?

360 has over 8.1

Don't know about the others

Go to the VGchartz software sales for this week and see...

Some Others numbers of old games are missing, so we should expect the numbers to be a bit higher

Using the fiscal reports.... as of September 2008 (if you wait a week we can have them as of December 2008)

Wii - 6.65
PS3 - 6.83

DS - 5.39
PSP - 3.91  (not accurate due to mixing of production and retail shipments)

For the X360, we don't have the same data, the best is what they release with the fiscals which was as of September an 8.1 attach ratio according to NPD USA.... but the USA attach ratio is higher than the world average in general so the real ratio will be lower.

For instance the Wii attach ratio in America by shipments is 8.05... so the X360 worldwide attach ratio is likely similar/slightly above the PS3s

Can't be true.

I went through several articles and Microsoft NEVER stated 8.1 US only.

+ the VGChartz numbers can't be that wrong

@ Barozi.... give me a minute.... they always state NPD numbers.

Here:

Their latest one oddly doesn't include the attach ratio, which makes me think it is no longer a record ratio for it's time because they early on stated "good" attach ratios, before moving on to "strong", and then they started giving actual figures when it became "record".... so for them to stop saying anything about it is odd.

My guess would be something has surpassed it.

I saw some articles about NPD tie ratios from mid 2008, but this time I can only read everytime: "according to MS" or "MS claims" nothing about NPD

That is because this is the internet.... and when people write "articles" they miss information, whether by accident or on purpose I don't know. But you shouldn't trust anything unless it is from the original source.

That picture above is a slide from a powerpoint MS gives each fiscal quarter.

And I think it's odd that VGChartz would be off by 50 million SW units according to your calculation.
