Sony has some Trojan Horse surprises this year, just you watch. You will probably be gleefully shocked.
SMT PS3 will go very nicely beside WKC as the JRPGs for PS3 this year. |
You can't qualify a game as announced when it's announced via Sony?
I'm not getting that logic...
clearly this game was in production and SOMETHING has happened.
I mean what, was sony lieing when they announced it?
If they were don't you think Atlus would of said "No we're not making that."
There are a lot of games on that list that never came out i believe... and keep in mind most games in production tend to die off before hand.
I think it's foolish to not think the game was at some point put on the backburner after the PS3 launched, or possible before cost wise.

I never saw any statement from them actually anouncing it. I do remember Atlus giving out the statement that they were working on a PS3 title.
If they did anounce it then thats good. Yet, then what are you fussing about? If they announced it then it is comming.
Are you trying to say they announced it and it is not comming? Then what is the point of refuting my thoughts in the first place?

I posted a link where Sony announced it... in this thread.
In 2005.... with a lot of other games.
Since then we've heard nothing.... and a lot of those games have never come.
The fact that there was a SMT game in production for PS3 and we havent' heard from it in 3 years makes me think it's not coming... and makes the PS3 seem like the least likely console.
Most likely being PS2 still or PSP in my opinion.
360 is... well Persona does sell well in the states... but unless it was funded i doubt Atlus would do this. Though I think they would jump at the chance of having the game funded...
While Wii... eh I wouldn't release it on the Wii if i was a small company like Atlus. Maybe a port of P4 to test the waters, or a re-remake of a previous shin megami game.
Personally my favorites are the original SMT games that were originally on the SNES. (well and NES but i never played those.) later ported to the PS1. Even more "pokemon like".
You should look into the PS1 remakes if you ever have the cash to burn or see them at a used games store.
