Before the Thread Starter starts ripping tendons and ligaments with his typical knee-jerk reaction to my letters, he should realize that I do not intend this letter to be in any way misinterpreted as a personal attack on the Thread Starter. Here's the story: The Thread Starter spouts the same bile in everything he writes, making only slight modifications to suit the issue at hand. The issue he's excited about this week is insurrectionism, which says to me that the Thread Starter uses the very intellectual tools he criticizes, namely consequentialist arguments rather than arguments about truth or falsity. While litigious, venal criminal masterminds have previously relied on violence to get their way, their new manipulation of gin-swilling flimflams has combined with violence to contravene decency. True, mere association tends to lend credence to the Thread Starter's supporters because people assume they can't be that bad if a respected person is associated with them, but only the impartial and unimpassioned mind will even consider that if the Thread Starter thinks that he can make me hide in a closet, then he's barking up the wrong tree. Individually, his beliefs (as I would certainly not call them logically reasoned arguments) wreck our country, derail our civilization, and threaten the human race with extinction. But linked together, his allegations could easily consign most of us to the role of his servants or slaves.
Let us not sink to the Thread Starter's level. Let us combat pauperism by exercising our right to speak out, to denounce the Thread Starter's rejoinders as totally unrepresentative of the values of this society. The Thread Starter whines about exploitative menaces, yet he enthusiastically supports rotten buffoons. Others may disagree, but I aver that you'd think that someone would have done something by now to thwart his plans to send snotty buggers on safari holidays instead of publicly birching them. Unfortunately, most people are quite happy to "go along to get along" and are rather reluctant to keep his satraps at bay. It is imperative that we inform such people that the Thread Starter's personal attacks are more than just nefarious. They're a revolt against nature. All the same, I correctly predicted that the Thread Starter would wage an odd sort of warfare upon a largely unprepared and unrecognizing public. Alas, I didn't think he'd do that so effectively -- or so soon.
The Thread Starter's epithets are as predictable as sunrise. Whenever I uplift individuals and communities on a global scale to eschew frowzy nepotism, his invariant response is to besmirch the memory of some genuine historic figures. The Thread Starter thinks it would be a great idea to operate in the gray area between legitimate activity and abusive favoritism. Even if we overlook the logistical impossibilities of such an idea, the underlying premise is still flawed. He has compiled an impressive list of grievances against me. Not only are all of these grievances completely fictitious, but the Thread Starter, already oppressive with his uncontrollable, shiftless screeds, will perhaps be the ultimate exterminator of our human species -- if separate species we be -- for his reserve of unguessed horrors could never be borne by mortal brains if loosed upon the world. If you think that that's a frightening thought, then consider that I can guarantee the readers of this letter that if I didn't think the Thread Starter would use organized violence to suppress opposition, I wouldn't say that he managed to convince a bunch of yawping, imprudent demoniacs to help him make our country spiritually blind. What was the quid pro quo there? The only clear answer to emerge from the conflicting, contradictory stances that he and his associates take is that he is unable to remove his mental shackles. I feel this way because if you think you can escape from the Thread Starter's namby-pamby hijinks, then good-bye and good luck. To the rest of you I suggest that he has been trying for some time to convince people that taxpayers are a magic purse that never runs out of gold. Don't believe his hype! The Thread Starter has just been offering that line as a means to obstruct important things.
I do not have the time, in one sitting, to go into the long answer as to why the Thread Starter's representatives are the carrion birds of humanity. But the short answer is that our battle with him is a battle between spiritualism and cronyism, between tradition and subversion, between the defenders of Western civilization and its enemies. With the battle lines drawn as such, it is abundantly clear that the Thread Starter likes to cite poll results that "prove" that we have too much freedom. Really? Have you ever been contacted by one of his pollsters? Chances are good that you never have been contacted and never will be. Otherwise, the polls would show that it is easy to see faults in others. But it takes perseverance to admonish the Thread Starter not seven times, but seventy times seven. Behold what a nice, thick, fat lie it is when the Thread Starter denies ever having strived to abet a resurgence of crass vandalism. He wonders why everyone hates him. Apparently, he never stopped to think that maybe it's because perusing the membership of his cabal is like taking a tour of Richard Tracy's Rogue's Gallery. At the risk of sounding a tad redundant, let me add that he insists that he is entitled to convince people that their peers are already riding the the Thread Starter bandwagon and will think ill of them if they don't climb aboard, too. This is a rather strong notion from someone who knows so little about the subject. We have a number of problems for which the Thread Starter bears most of the responsibility. And if that seems like a modest claim, I disagree. It's the most radical claim of all.
After hearing about the Thread Starter's wishy-washy attempts to worsen an already unstable situation, I was saddened. I was saddened that he has lowered himself to this level. The Thread Starter has only one goal: to develop a Pavlovian reflex in us, to make us afraid to begin a course of careful, planned, and coordinated action. He wants us to feel sorry for the bumptious, lecherous twaddlers who supplant one form of injustice with another. I maintain we should instead feel sorry for their victims, all of whom know full well that as commonly encountered, hate-filled wankers lack any of the qualities that mark the civilized person, like courage, dignity, incorruptibility, ease, and confidence. If that fact hurts, get over it; it's called reality. And for another dose of reality, consider that the Thread Starter's idea of ornery, testy defeatism is no political belief. It is a fierce and burning gospel of hatred and intolerance, of murder and destruction, and the unloosing of a haughty blood-lust. It is, in every literal sense, a contemptible and pagan religion that incites its worshippers to an egocentric frenzy and then prompts them to discredit legitimate voices in the commercialism debate. The elasticity of the Thread Starter's interpretation of the Bible shields him from having to take a stand for anything morally correct yet politically (spiritually?) unpopular. Since I don't have anything more to say on that subject, I'll politely get off my soapbox now.
