PS3 owner just finished the demo never played other FEAR games not into FPS that don't have a cover system either but the demo was good it did a good job of explaining the controls my only gripe is that the graphix weren't spectacular maybe the 360's are better

I liked the end part wen ur in the MecWarrior type thing but of course it had too end there

Yeah, I don't think there would be much difference between PS3 and 360 this time around...there is quite a difference between PC and xbox 360 tho.

PC one is much smoother and at 1920x1080 looks spectacular.

I HATED the menu interface on the PC version... However for the actual content. If Monolith manages to keep up this for the whole game this game will absolutely fucking rock.

Words to those who will listen (read: SPOILERS) Beware of the school and the movie theater.....

I think I know where you're coming from as a PC player. This was designed with Consoles in mind so PC gamers may have issues with the menu and the HUD. You guys dont like those tricks :)

I downloaded it on PSN (I'm still getting it on 360)

I think it's scarier than the 1st one but not better. Characters are kind of slow and the gameplay is WAY too different

I like the improvements on Alma and the ghost though

I hate how the main menu style was changed along with the theme song

Favorite films. Foreign films forever!

seems to be a divide here... ps3 owners not impressed... 360 owners more favourable..

nice graphics... not spectacular but nice... plays well... and scared the shit out of me a couple of times - big tv with surround audio loud... very atmospheric.

 More importantly...PC owners...impressed! :)

I'm a PC owner with a stout machine (everything maxxed except AA at 4x at 1920x1200) and it runs like butter (one of the nice things about console ports is that, on PC, they run like greased-lightning even with effects and rez jacked). That said, there were a few things I didn't like (I am buying it, mind you!):

*Too easy, even on hard: It may just be me but the enemies didn't strike me as remotely aggressive, which they most certainly were, even on normal difficulty, in FEAR. Hopefully this is just a symptom of it being a demo and the enemies will become much more aggressive (Note: I said "aggressive" not "smart"--the actual tactics the employ are fairly impressive, they just don't go for the throat like you might expect).

*OVerall, I like the graphics but the enemy soldiers, to me anyway, seem a bit to, uh, huggable? They're all very round and clean and slick-looking and seem to have cast off the more realistic look of its predecessor (that said, the ghouls and ghosts don't suffer from this art direction error).

*Is it just me, or is there a hell of a lot of ammo laying around? Like a lot more than in the first FEAR. This might just be me mis-remembering, but I do recall that you couldn't go all 'DOOM' in the last one (and the expansion) because you'd be relegated to melee-only if you did (which was fine, since I love the melee in these titles).

Still, by and large, I am quite taken with it: the 'horror' sequences are solid (if, as usual, more cheap 'boo!' scares than neccesarily truly creepy) and, again, I love that it runs like a thoroughbred race horse (if you played the first FEAR you probably recall that getting it to run at anything near max settings at its launch required a flux capacitor and Frankensteinian PC-building skills).

I agree with difficulty. These guys just did NOT hit me... Except for the last set of foot soldiers, the one with the laser.

Invisible Walls on gametrailers did a nice preview and the review of the demo.

They are all basically saying this will be one of the best shooters of the year.

Infact, ima make a thread about it now... :)
