I'm a PC owner with a stout machine (everything maxxed except AA at 4x at 1920x1200) and it runs like butter (one of the nice things about console ports is that, on PC, they run like greased-lightning even with effects and rez jacked). That said, there were a few things I didn't like (I am buying it, mind you!):
*Too easy, even on hard: It may just be me but the enemies didn't strike me as remotely aggressive, which they most certainly were, even on normal difficulty, in FEAR. Hopefully this is just a symptom of it being a demo and the enemies will become much more aggressive (Note: I said "aggressive" not "smart"--the actual tactics the employ are fairly impressive, they just don't go for the throat like you might expect).
*OVerall, I like the graphics but the enemy soldiers, to me anyway, seem a bit to, uh, huggable? They're all very round and clean and slick-looking and seem to have cast off the more realistic look of its predecessor (that said, the ghouls and ghosts don't suffer from this art direction error).
*Is it just me, or is there a hell of a lot of ammo laying around? Like a lot more than in the first FEAR. This might just be me mis-remembering, but I do recall that you couldn't go all 'DOOM' in the last one (and the expansion) because you'd be relegated to melee-only if you did (which was fine, since I love the melee in these titles).
Still, by and large, I am quite taken with it: the 'horror' sequences are solid (if, as usual, more cheap 'boo!' scares than neccesarily truly creepy) and, again, I love that it runs like a thoroughbred race horse (if you played the first FEAR you probably recall that getting it to run at anything near max settings at its launch required a flux capacitor and Frankensteinian PC-building skills).
