Honestly, what's the difference between a decapitation and a murder? If I was to go suddenly, I'd at least hope the murderer had a bit of style. Given the choice, I'd welcome a decapitation.

You can murder a person in a billion ways........most of them you don't actually have to see the person up close. You can shoot them, poison them, or set off a bomb. But when you decapitate a person, you're holding them in your hands, while you slowly cut away at their neck, stroke after stroke, until their head finally separates. Every time you move that knife back and forth, you're looking into a pair of eyes that will never move again.......and it's all because of you. Killing someone in an impersonal way is nothing compared to that........you're not there when the person dies, you never think about them again, their eyes will never haunt you night after night.

All this is moot however, if the head comes off quickly, like say.......with an axe. Then it's "just" another murder.
