Are games not from Nintendo on the the wii successful, considering it's large userbase most top sellers(min one million) are from Nintendo.

Most games made on Wii that aren't crappy sell well, yeah. Case in point: Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, de Blob, Sonic and the Secret Rings.

According to NPD, the Wii sells much more 3rd party software than the X360 does.

According to VC Chartz Wii has 42 million sellers, of which 17 are from Nintendo and the rest, 25, are from 3rd parties.

No 3rd party MEGA hits yet, except perhaps guitar hero III, carnival games and arguably Mario & Sonic Olympics (tho it's almost 1st party with that branding).

But, quite a few good sellers, 25 of the 42 million sellers on the platform are 3rd party, if you count Mario & Sonic. That's not so bad...
