You are already getting a RPG - VC Right?
So why buy another when you can get the most graphically stunning FPS Of all time? (on consoles ofcourse.)

Yeah, the Star Ocean and VP franchise both have been known for there side-quests being really long and hard, which of course we like. :P

But im not sure about SO4 yet, they didn't confirm or deny it yet so...

@MGS_4ever- True, VC is right around the cornor for me, but i love JRPG's in general, then again Online games are on equal ground to me this gen since online is important imo so putting it that way would be a good thing but meh.. so far though im leaning towards...

KZ2 = 75%

SO4 = 25%

your already getting VC so might as well get KZ2 right? one rpg and one shooter, diversity. then pickup SO4 whenever you beat VC that away you can sit down and spend time on VC and SO4 and not rush things

Diversity, thats the word lol, and yeah very true, switching between to JRPG's can be a bitch, even more so when there both downright awesome!

Oh do not be so silly, silly silly boy. Get the gamefly service, play both SO4, KZ2 and also SF4, RE5, Fear 2, VC etc and your still saving money. Be logical and go the smart way of rentals. :)

I would say to get Killzone 2.

I love the Star Ocean series, have since I played SO2 on the PS1. Your problem here is that if you get Valkyria and Star Ocean around the same time your bound to have one or the other end up collecting dust while the other is being played. This has happened to me for years now, yet I keep doing it. -.-

Killzone 2 however will fit well into a mix like that because it is a game you could just pick up and play at any given moment, the same can not be said for JRPGs. I have so much trouble if I try to play more than one at a time.

In the end though, just get which ever you want. I do not know which you will enjoy more, but what I do know is that if you do not currently have a job and money is going to be tight, wouldn't you be better off with something that has multiplayer?

Killzone 2 = amazing shooter

Star Ocean 4 = Retarded RPG

PS3 games also have a nasty habit of keeping a high price tag for a very long period of time, if you look at the 360 and its RPG lineup you will notice that it does not take very long before price drops (exception at the moment being Tales of Vesperia). With money being tight and you having limits on what you can spend this could work out in your favor as well.

As for others forgetting about Valkyria, I do not see how you could almost forget about it yourself! Are you mad?!

I have had this game for a month now and I am still playing it, still in my first playthrough as well because I game slow these days. If you enjoy this game as much as I do you are going to wish it had multiplayer, it would just be awesome!
