Ah lol. TWRoO beat me to the classic "supply problems" excuse! Shucks.
The supply problem is believable from a retailer standpoint. I work for a very large retailer and we were seeing a good 100+ Wii's a week in December. Now that January has hit we are lucky to see 10 a week, and the few we get are all gone.
DS on the other hand I don't think so. We've had them in stock quite often and only sold out of them once this month only to be resupplied rather quickly.
The Wii seems to always be supply constrained. However I'm sure Nintendo doesn't want to over produce in the non-holiday seasons either.
It's just that simple.

Regardless It's not too long before the 360 takes the 8 million plus lead back over the PS3. Granted it may be stunted/reversed pending the Killzone 2 launch and price drop of the PS3 in April if it happens.
It's just that simple.
Yeah! The 1 in 52,841 PS3 sold is from the one I bought.

maybe you go look and see if you can find any, then come back, and whether or not it is supply...
The Wii has been sold out for 26 straight months, and people still have to be told the fad has not ended... shesh.
