@Darc: I respect your opinion, you seem to know the game's story quite a lot.
I thought Tifa didn't say anything about Cloud not speaking the truth cause she was scared. She wasn't even sure that guy was actualy Cloud, and was afraid to spoil everything by asking him what was going on. Some people like o live in lie.
You make good points with the battle system and graphics, although I could care less about graphics. I thought the highly costumizable characters were kind of cool.

I can see where you coming from with her not telling Cloud, but not telling Barret is something else. Cloud was a huge security risk and the leader of Avalanche should have been aprised of this. Barret put so much trust in Cloud for two reasons, he was Tifa's friend and a former "member" of Soldier. I mean you remember what state Cloud was in when she found him.

Back to the topic. Did anyone get a chance to play Phantasy Star 1? That game was well ahead of its time and at least deserves mention. It had cinematics, a female lead, 3D dungeons, multiple worlds, etc. and it was released in 1988. It took both Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest a few sequels to get the features that the Phantasy Star series started out with.

Secret of Mana. I still consider it the best, most well-executed, multiplayer game of all time.

It's all about the game.

I would agree completely with your post were this the "What is the best, most well-executed, multiplayer game of all time" thread, but it's not.

Im playing Chrono Trigger right now, so I expect ending with the same think about it.

Vagrant Story, Kingdom Hearts, Persona 3, or Shenmue. Take your pick they're all equals to me :)

Tales of Symphonia. How can it be that I am the first one mentioning it, on the second page of the thread?

Cause he asked for the best... >_>

And not mediocre...

Well although I'm might not as experienced in terms of RPG's as one had to be to answer this question, I can still say that I enjoyed ToS quite a bit more than FF IV, FF VI, the Golden Sun series, Baten Kaitos, Tales of Phantasia, all Mario RPG's except for Legend of the Seven Stars (since I haven't played it) and also FF I, II and V, although I haven't finished those, but played to a good part of them.

Maybe Chrono Trigger or Skies of Arcadia are going to change my opinion, but I doubt that since SNES RPG's, although being great overall, usually have too much of grinding involved and Skies of Arcadia was out in the same Gen as ToS and did receive about the same scores.
