Were publishers reluctant to pick up this project because it was a "Traditional" game, or were they reluctant to pick up this project because nSpace is a developer with a pretty spotty track record?

I'm going to go with the former, because in the interview n-Space claims that while the proposal was turned down, it got them enough attention to get hired for a lot of other work.

The motion controls sound great. I wish i could play this now! I always wanted a silent hill type game with motion controls on the wii.

lol at the lord of the rings sound track when the wolf attacked :P

other than that I hope it gets picked up though I just hate games with fixed cameras ahh I hate that claustrophobic feeling :S it was painful enough watching the video… so I might not buy this game because of that (if it ever gets released that is)

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Shit this game would be truly amazing if it could get a publisher. People should read the interview before calling this crap. Oh and where the hell is nintendo with their billions of profits. they could actually stop talking crap about the hardcore gamers and do like sega and try some real stuff...

Go sign the petition guys. It could turns like the Conduit which is defenetly gonna sell very good

I like the Survival Horror meets point and click aspect of the game (demo) Particularily how you use the controls to open doors and drawers. At first, when the player used the IR to open the garage door I thought "well that's pretty unnecessary", but then when she opened the door and the dog burst through, I realized the potential it had for scares. You're no longer just walking up and pressing A, you're cautiously opening a door and peering in to see what's there, or who's waiting.

Actually, though the atmosphere (Silent Hill Vibe) is quite different, this looks similar in gameplay style to the Horror demo video Atlus leaked a while ago. I can't remember, was it the Calling?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

This.   I hope someone picks this game up (and that it's turns out well).   I've been wanting a (quality) game like this since the Wii came out.

I seriously hope sega sees this

I hope nintendo sees this!!!!

If Sega's "hardcore" games do well they are probably gonna see this or other games like this. Furthermore, other publisher will be influenced by Sega and try to take more risk on less casual games. The one I'm affraid to lose here is THQ though. Deadly Creatures need to do well or the only great game we will see from them will be the Blob 2.
