I realize such words may not be prudent for a Sony forum and the PS3 may in fact not be doomed, but you seriously need to wake up and start putting together some more realistic / palatable theories about how it's going to happen because this long term graphical investment theory of yours is the worst since people started comparing consoles to luxury cars. Look at the stuff you're spewing out! Is this a Sony forum or a support group for PS3 owners.

Dude you scared? Anyone that remotely dislikes the Wii or challenages the Wii for that fact is an outcast.  This site has soooooo many freakin Wii fans it's beyond a joke.  Sony have stated they have a 10 year plan.  What proof is needed when they already had two consolesthat have had a long life. The ps2 is still going strong. WTF is a GC... I got one and I can't get $10au for the peice shit.
 Yes the ps1 and ps2 had different launches and so has the ps3.... And yes no console has the same future. What you will find is ps fans follow the track record for Sony and their consoles.  Sony is not concern about the race now.  They know they have the games, the product and the fan base to get them there.   The thing is... Too many Wii fans have counted the race as finished. But, it has only begun.  It should be the time for the 360 and the Wii to start to bury the ps3, because if they don't they it will be history repeating themselves.   Do you forget the user base of the ps2?  Even in Japan?  People are waiting for a two things- price drop and games. When that comes into play... the Wii and 360 better hold on to their crowns becuase the PS3 will be fast gaining (look at the effects of  the small interim pricedrop in the usa @$400us).  Everyone is already saying in 2008 is Sony's yr and that it will pass the 360.    I know why ppl put the hate on Sony and the ps3. Because they know it's potential and ppl know Sony can deliever. Enuf Said!

i love sony, and i cant wait for price drop and games cause i know ill buy one, but i know countless other people who are buying 360s at the moment because of current games coming out? To say that only one console will have this effect is well not stupid but not very smart because of the chances of this are very slim (but of course possible)

And yes i do believe that sony made the best console i just want GAMES WHERE ARE MY GAMES (till then ima sleep soundly knowing my xbox has some games =) )

                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

AIIAII and HUS, you both realize your replies consisted of nothing but empty claims with no evidence to support them don't you? Call mine what you like but at least I use anecdotal, logistical and statistical evidence to base and support my conclusions on. Not only do you avoid directly adressing anything specifically stated by another person (knowing full well your argument has no legs) but you then fail to offer any support what so ever to your bazaar sequence of fanboyish boasts that only seem to illustrate your desperation to try and flip the argument around, at best perhaps hoping to create the illusion of a fanboy stalemate to spectators. And you wonder why Sony fanboys like yourselves are considered jokes.

My only reason real pondery in regards to the matter here is why real self-respecting Sony fans and supporters don't use these situations like this to openly disown fanboys like the two of you (or the one of you, since its more than likely you're the same person) altogether.

There have been plenty threads trying to justify wiis inferior graphics, with some nut jobs saying wii secret unfinished power will be some how unlocked. While most other times its the typical graphics don't matter its all about waggle controls whatnot.

And yahh many wii owners always whine and bitch oh its another violent shooter, shooters cant be good a shooter cant be innovative. How M rated games are never mature they are just violence and other bs crap like that.

First of all, to respond to your original question, which I believe was, "Why is the Wii sooo awesome?" I would just like to say a few things:

1) It has really good games
2) It has an awesome controller
3) It is only $249

On Topic: This PS Fanboy (Original Poster) has the same sentiments that many Nintendo-dumpers (AKA PS1 adopters) had when the N64 had carts still... Maybe Sony will come back in 2 generations and totally dominate again? Who knows?

The power difference between PS3/wii and PS2/GC/Xbox are NOT the same, ony wii fanboys use that argument and show their ignorance.


Wii is alot more closer to the PSP and PS2 then the PS3

Actually it does make a difference...

Cheaper consoles = cheaper to develop to = more games = more sales = mass 'N' domination.

Can't you see? The Wii has gone the OLD sony route. Sony apparently have gone the Yamauchi Nintendo route. Poor sods. The PS3 will have great, awsome and classic games but it won't have the sales. Just like the N64/GC/Xbox [not the 360].

Yeah, I'm sorry, even if third party developers were flocking to the PS3, there would be no way it would be able to churn out even a fraction of the number of games the PS2 could unless of course you're willing to settle for Wii graphics games on your PS3, which defeats the purpose of a graphical powerhouse to begin with.

Again, when you take too large a leap forward you leave everyone else behind, and that includes your third party support (hell even their first party support is struggling to pump out a AAA game longer than 15 hours in less than 3-4 years). Even then its honestly more a situation of PS3/high-end-360 games becomming too costly and too man hour intensive to develop efficiently without a complete overhaul of the video game industry's infastructure. Either we're going to have to triple the amount of Developers on the market to compensate for longer development times or individual Developers are going to have to increase their development teams numbers exponentionally.

I don't hate sony, I don't love Sony, I'm a MS fanboy (yes there is one) and I think the PS3 has a lot of potential, changes are going on inside Sony and that will help PS3, I agree they commited stupid mistakes, the same mistakes nintendo did 2 generations ago, but I think that SOny will use nintendo expirience to overcome this really fast, maybe 1 or 2 years.
And of course MS has a lot of problems I know!!!!!!!!!!
(just to avoid everybody telling me how unreliable the 360 is and all the other mistakes and probles that the MS console has)

After reading more posts I can only say that people that says that the Wii has great games have compleatly different tastes on games than me, of course Mario Galaxy is going to be good (MP3, Mario Kart, etc), but right now I don't see any great games on the Wii, and please don't tell me Wii Play or Wii Sport, those are not great games, maybe Zelda TP, but nothing else.
