Best conversation piece -- Virtual Boy.

That is especially true if you do the "helmet mod" which allows you to wear the VB headset. (Someone hear actually did that).

Best real choice -- DS Lite. Plays DS and GBA games. Has on-line. Long-battery life. Only the flaky hinges prevent it from being perfect.
