I bet you will be disappointed lol. Nostalgic memories usually should be left untouched.. When was the last time you played any Myst game?

I bought "Myst - The Collection" a few months ago for $30 at a GAME store. It has all 5 Myst games of the main series. You should try find it.
Was Riven part of that? I remember getting Myst for the Sega Saturn, and I loved it. Do you recall that one puzzle where you have to look out of the top of that tower with the telescope, and you see something on the horizon, and you take note of the compass position of where that object is then go back inside to that giant circle on the floor with dots all around it and then corilated the position of the thing on the horizon with the dots on the floor and then opened that door.......remember that? If not, Im not surprised but I lost my shit when the door actually opened. I couldn't get into Riven at all. The puzzles were totaly nonsensical. Myst was kind of that way too but at the time it was one of the best things going. With Riven, I would rather have been playing Duke Nukum! Now someone tell me where I can find that, and I will be a happy man.
| kowenicki said: bloody years ago... I probably would be disappointed but i dont mind a bit of retro gaming. If I could find a decent Vic-20 emuilator Id be getting that too.. just so I could play all thsoe old Llamasoft classics... matrix and gridrunner for example. |
Jeff Minter lol. He made awful games.
Did u like Boulder Dash and other classics on the C64?
I hope you're joking lol. I hated his games. They were the worst. At least those with mutant Lhamas.
@kowenicki myst is ace.
now you mention it lol i wouldnt mind getting hold of it again, il prolly get it on ps1 but prices are very high
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
I bought Myst for my iPhone last week and i have to say, it was pretty fun to play it again. I actually had a better experience with it than i had back in the day when i played it on a Philips CD-i. The game is way easier than i remembered, though.
So, if you have an iPhone, buy that one and you can start play it within a few minutes. For a PC solution i can't help you, sorry.
| kowenicki said: you are younger than me slimebeast... You will be more C64 than vic-20, by then he had lost his way a bit imo. but until those early llamasoft games came along, things were.... sllllooooooowwwwww. what that man could do with 3.5k is ridiculous!! |
Yeah but I had heard about the vic-20 before the C64 came out. Me and my cousin used to dream about getting one. Then we got ourselves C64's. I only maybe once ever saw a Vic-20 in action.
So Jeff Minter started making games for the Vic-20 even before the C64? The first time I played one of his games there were quite many good games released on the C64 already, so those mutant Lhama games were weak in comparison.
You mean 3.5K was his budget lol?
