I don't think we'll see a Jak anytime soon. TM though... I'd guess 2010. Isn't Jaffe working on it?
Yea, im almost certain that a Twisted Metal PS3 game is in the works, and I cant wait
After three Jak & Daxter games and some good spin-offs in only one generation the series needed a rest.
But hopefully we will see them back in 2011 with some fresh ideas (two years after the release of Uncharted 2). The Sly Raccoon series should also come back.
The original Jak & Daxter was an incredibly innocent and fun game, my favourite of the series.
Then along came the weapons and GTA-esque city of Jak II... I completed it, but it had no soul.
I have yet to complete Jak 3, even though it seems much better than Jak II.
Jak X I didn't even bother with.
Naughty Dog, keep making Uncharted games if all you can do with Jak & Daxter is copy Ratchet and Clank. I loved the first game, but the others are a disappointment.
Twisted Metal was already announced. No news on Jak.

Jaffe is working on Twisted Metal PS3. I hope it retains the dark style of Twisted Metal Black. as for Jak, the series has been put on hold in favor of Uncharted...but that doesn't mean it's dead.
According to Jaffe's blog, ESP have a greenlight meeting with Sony next week (similar to what Incognito had recently), so Twisted metal (assuming he's referring to that) probably isn't too far off.

I think these meetings are not too far into the development cycle.. just after prototype.. So after the meeting atleast 15 - 18 months. so sometime mid 2010 one should expect it
