Once it breaks a million, word of mouth should take over, and it'll probably keep selling for a long time. As we all know, shooters with great graphics sell like mad. Crysis sold a million in three months despite the fact that 90% of even the PC gaming community could barely run the title.

What were your predictions for first week? I can't be bothered to go back and find them.

I'd say... at at around 550.000 to 625.000 first week. It'll hit a million within 1.5 months. Word of mouth will help, but it'll stall at 2 million LTD, 2.5 with luck.

Killzone 2 will sell like Resistance 2 why? Because they're both PS3 exclusive FPS?

Did Gears of War 2 sell like Too Human? They're both 360 exclusive TPS...

Did Fable II sell like Two Worlds? They're both 360 exclusive RPG...

I think it'll do better than COD 4 did on the ps3, think of the people who have both consoles that would go for COD 4 on the 360 instead, and think of all the people who say they're gonna get the Ps3 for K2. And then I'm sure all the current COD 4 owners would be well up for getting K2.

So I'm re-considering my earlier predictions and saying 900k first week and 6m LTD

with good and organized marketing:

maybe 1 million 1st week and 4 million LTD

 

with poor marketing (like resistance 2):

500k 1st week and maybe 2.5 million LTD
