I've got this conversation with a few friends last night : what is the best halo of the series ?

I think the first is by far the best but it's seem that the 3th is prefered by a lot of poeples.

What do you think ?

Halo CE by a mile.

First.

Follwed by the second, with the third a distant last.

I liked 3. I even have the commercials on my 360 hard drive! I loved that game.

Singleplayer:
Halo 1 > Halo 3 > Halo 2
Multiplayer:
Halo 3 > Halo 2 > Halo 1

So my ranking is: Halo 3 > Halo 1 > Halo 2

Singleplayer:

Halo1 and 3 in first place, Halo 2 on second, because of the stupide cliffhanger.

Multiplayer:
Halo 3 in first place ( forge, recording videos), second Halo 2 and third place for Halo CE, because the lack of online gaming

The third is the most casual friendly and the second is the most hardcore. The brutes in the second were actually vicious and hard and damn near invincible on insane. Oh and the flood on halo 2... impossible! The first is the most balanced but its near unplayable by todays standards.

i just hate the flood... royal pain in the backside. especially those little critters. on Hero they're pants, you can pretty much ignore them; on legendary, you've got a problem...
