I feel exactly the same, and I haven't even managed to play the demo.

Until the first half of 2008 RE5 was my most anticipated game this gen. But after the side-kick was revelaed and I've seen the gameplay demo showings, I feel it's a poor mans Gears of war without horror feel.

I hope Im wrong but I believe the best case scenario now is that RE5 will be a good splatter zombie shooter.

 

What do you think of the graphics when seeing them in motion?

 

 

 

Honestly, I'm not the best guy to ask about graphics. I'm content with RE4-level graphics, so anything above that I don't really notice that much. But from what I saw, it sure looked good. One of the better looking next-gen games so far, but I wouldn't put it above Gears 2... Well, not from the little I played, anyway.

Oh, I must say, I hated one thing about the demo: Not being able to point where I want to with ease with the Wiimote. Switching back to dual analog sticks will be hard. @_@



Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Haha, just to clarify, I can clearly tell the difference between RE4 and current-gen games, I just can't really tell what looks better than something else :) I mean, I can't say either Gears 2 or MGS4 looks much better than the other, I don't really notice.

@SHMUPGurus, very true. That was a big irk factor for me as well.

Resident Evil 5 has nothing to do with Gears of War. I love the Demo, RE5 is going to be better and bigger then RE4.

capcom murdered the resident evil franchise with RE4

I loved RE1, RE2 n even RE3 to a certain extent

those games MADE ME SCARED

now Re5 looks like your average TPS.....as someone said a poor man's GEOW.

& the grfx don't really look that good in motion.

there's a difference between what I said n what you quoted me to say

I said "they don't look that good in motion"

so the grfx aren't really that good

they are good grfx.....but with games like GEOW2, Killzone 2, MGS4 out...nothing to clap about.

Damn that sux i feel the same way RE 2, 3, Code Veronica were the best 4 was good it was something new but the story with that little troll Salazar guy you can see the series go down hill from there i really hope 5 is good i'll be buying on 1st day and won't b messing around with the co-op

Games need to chill out with the co-op and online multilayer and focus more on the single player story and gameplay that's why i feel KZ2 will excel alot it doesn't have a co-op they used the time else were

It's still amazing that a movie was made with this engine!

Graphic-wise, I think Resident Evil 5 beats Gears of War 2 (but it doesn't have the same artistic direction), and it definitely beats Metal Gear Solid 4 (no slowdown makes it win automatically). Killzone 2, I'll see when I get the game. =P

Since the motion blur and other visual effects look so good in Resident Evil 5, I don't understand how it can't not look good in motion.
