OK. This is where I am at. I played the demo at my friend's house.

I do not own a PS3 and I had no intention of ever buying one.

If this game only sells one PS3 console that will be the one that I am about to purchase.

I am ordering the PS3 online now -along with with placing a pre-order for K2 of course.

ditto. after K2 we'll have inFAMOUS, Uncharted 2, etc. i dont think you'll regret it. btw i dont know if you played the beta but imo K2 multiplayer is second only to COD 4, close 2nd.

Thanks guys. All now sorted. I should pick it up tomorrow and download the K2 demo to enjoy over the weekend. I gathered that the download can take a while...plus the PS3 updates.

Now I am just trying to find a buyer for my blu-ray player. That's looking promising so I should get back some of what I just spent.

I played through the demo yesterday. I must say this game pushes the FPS genre, and even what video games are capable of, into new boundaries.

The graphics are the best, most photorealistic in game visuals I have ever seen in a video game. The trailers back years ago were not exaggerating. The gameplay graphics look exactly the same as the graphics in the cutscenes.

The physics in this game are the most realistic I have ever seen in a video game. Additionally, the persistence of alterations to the environment from destructables is impressive for a FPS game.

The AI is the most advanced I have ever seen for a FPS game.

Granted, the demo only includes the single player mode so I can not compare it to how the multiplayer will be, but for the singleplayer mode this game really shows what the PS3 is capable of and sets the bar for what video games can be like from this point on.

KZ2 going to move hardware confirmed?

just gonna post my impressions of kz2 in this thread.

anywho just played the demo, and the only thing i truely disliked about it was the length. was a bit too short but oh well its a demo. the controls are nice, basically can be whatever you want (i went with the first one). took a second to get used to it but after awhile it felt nice. i liked the movement and feel of the game. graphics were nice. the ragdoll type effects were nice as well. looking around is slow but you get used to it, or you can turn up the sensitivity whatever floats your boat.

overall its well worth a purchase.

i have to admit that before playing the demo i was caring WAAAAAAAAY too much about the review scores... metacritic.. etc. AFTER playing the demo i dont really give a !@#$%^&*( . no longer do i care what the reviews/people/fanboys say! youve got your halo fanboys your COD fanboys.. im a killzone fanboy 

So, what control scheme does everyone play with? I hear a lot of people say they use ALT 2 because the default sucked. I too felt the controls were weird as soon as I began playing my first playtrhough I too switched to Alt 2 controls. But as soon as I took cover I noticed a problem. I could let go of L2 and hold R2 to stand up from cover and use the sight and then hold L2 again to reinter cover but I couldn't lean right or left and use the scope. Also, I noticed another weird thing. You can reload when using the scope in the default controls but not ALT 2. Weird. Anyways, I switched back to default and they worked like a charm. I even tried giving ALT 2 another shot to make sure and they felt clumsy after doing so well with the default. The default controls are different but really seem taylored to compliment the game perfectly.

So what controls do you guys use?
