Forums - Nintendo - whatever happened to pikmin 3?

Soon after the Wii was released Nintendo started a new marketing strategy where they wouldn't release much information about upcomming games until they were close to being released ... As a result of this, we have had several titles (like Mario Kart) where little was know about them until they were officially announced a couple of months before they were released.

Unfortunately, this means that games like Punch Out and Pikmin 3 have been hinted at and/or confirmed but we know almost nothing about them and we don't know whether they are targeting a release of March 2009 or December 2010.

if they make it the *hardcore holiday release* for this year, there will be a lot of pissed of gamers, but i won't be one of them. i'll be happily enjoying the game while drinking the delicious tears of the snobcore gamers.

Yeh but your theory dies because Nintendo actually did clarify that Pikmin 3 was in development alongside the remakes

did they? I figured it is coming out anyways, but I don't expect any information until after both remakes are released. Part of this, is because of my little story above. Nintendo never wanted to anounce that a new pikmin might be on the way.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
