The DSi is just a hardware revision like the DS Lite. Up to this point there is not a single "DSi" game that doesn't run on the DS (Lite). Both systems have the same hardware specs. Just like GBA and GBA SP / Micro.

shit all i have is a ds not a l;ite

DS is the same as the DS Lite which is the same as the DSi. They just have different looks and DSi has a couple new features but MOST games will run on all three systems.

They may have a few DSi specific games but there won't be many due to the massive userbase of the DS already.

Also the DS Lite will still sell most likely in the rest of the world and will either get a price drop or the DSi will just be priced higher.

Lol no you got the wrong idea: All 3 systems play the same games. You will still be able to play 99% of the DSi games on your old DS (unless they use the camera of course!) so you don't have to worry. That said bigger screens, download channel, internet support and music player surely sound interesting. I'll probably sell my DS Lite to a friend and buy a DSi sometimes later this year.

I don't think you'd be able to play anything that requires the GBA slot for a peripheral on the DSi, unless they find some sort workaround.
