Not sure what your question has to do with this topic, but, Wii Play says "hi".

EDIT:Ah, I read the actual article now. I see why you asked the question.

1. Wii Play

2. Wii mote w/ and w/o jacket are #2 and 3 respectively.

Thus a wiimote's total sales are spread accross 3 items.

Probably because if you buy a stand alone wiimote you have to buy a chuck.

 

If you buy Wiiplay, you still have to buy a chuck. Every person who buys Wiiplay and then a nunchuck pushed the sales of the nunchuck that much higher than the Wiimote.

Wiimotes got broken up into two SKUs: you'll notice number 2 is "Wii Remote with jacket," and number three is just "Wii Remote." Add to that the millions of copies of Wii Play sold, and you have your answer.
