I'd love to revisit these threads about the gap when GOW3, GT5, FF13, Uncharted 2 and any other major hit in 2010 are all out at the same time with the PS3 at $300.

pure mathematics? Didn't they teach you about probabilty, logic and irregularities which defy the constant?

Anyhow, the simple truth is no one knows factually or mathematically whether the ps3 can catch up or not. It all depends on how well Sony play their cards, what tricks ms have up their sleeves and whether or when this recession comes to an end ( strong yen hurting the Sony profits via managacturing costs etc).

Mathematicaly speaking, the equation you are looking at consists of inconsistant variables which need to be multiplied by consistant figures with the addition of an unknown number of "x" factors that may spike sales on one end and drop sales on the other. The number of inconsistancies and variables aswell as "x" factors (an unknown figure) makes it mathematicaly impossible to calculate an answer leaving your thread, theory and opinion a calculated failure.

The PS3 should have never launched at 600$. So that means blue ray was a big mistake in my view on things. so hopefully Sony will truly make a great pure video game system next time.
