The Wii doesn't have last-gen graphics, rather, the games out for it now do. Games like SMG will show that Wii games can look significantly better than last-gen games. Just give it time, graphics for Wii games will improve over the next couple of years dramatically, just like how PS3 graphics and 360 graphics (maybe to a lesser extent) will improve.

IMHO, I couldn't care less about graphics!

Imho that Nintendo game title has over the Playstation and Xbox's are GAMEPLAY!

Graphics to me is a bonus on top of good game play.

Heck last night I just pulled out my N64 and played Super Mario 64 again and boy was it fun!

If I were to choose between my N64 or my PS2, ill take the N64 hands down.

Thats why I am planning to get a Wii over the PS3 at the end of the year, although I have over 20 PS2 game, I still won't get the PS3.

I don't think your using much logic, how can you not compare next gen graphcis if your trying to lump it into the next gen graphics category? Just because Wii is capable of better graphics than a Xbox, doesn't mean that every game will be better quality than the Xbox's. It has already proven that that is not the case.

Oh... no games on the ps3 or 360 have gameplay. Wtf. Ps1 beat the n64 due to gameplay. I don't see how Mario and other games in the Nintendo library have teh best game play.

Also why do ppl say gfx are nothing (that is what ppl without gfx say). I say that I like the old gfx when playing old games - as I can appreciate the time and the nostalgia. But being in the 21st century I want both mind blowing gfx and awesome gameplay. That is why I pay $120 au per game.

Look at final fantasy. Ppl say the old FF had awesome gfx - remember they were the best of it's time... no different from today. Talk about have the whole peach! Why not for gfx aswell as gameplay.

I think you'll find a lot of people who will disagree with you there.  The N64 had some of the best games of all time, not just of its generation.  For some people, that wasn't enough, they wanted more than just a handful of kickass games.

 They do not say graphics are nothing. They say graphics don't matter, or more correctly, graphics aren't everything.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
