Checking very quickly with VGC numbers seems Wii could be slightly (200k) overtracked though I could have taken wrong dates.

nope, no mention of PSP sales. The YOY stated is in revenue (3 billion EUR in 08). They also add that Wii sold 1 million in 07 so a good YOY increase there as well.

Pretty good growth. It's interesting to see the way the gaming market expands. I wonder if this will be a permanent level or will fade with this generation.

^it depends on where gamming is going, so it's a shot in the dark. But it's amazing to a country with the pop of France getting close to Japan in Numbers. Japan has 130+ mln people and is the second econmy in the world so ...
