That would make things very interesting..as it stands I can't wait for MH3 but as a pay to play...I would probably have to look at it from the outside

the first two will probably make it to the Wii eventually. they did the same with the Resident Evil series on the Gamecube. I think it's important to have access to a complete series that's been on different company platforms in the past and probably Capcom realizes this.  the demand will probably be there in the future, if there's not enough already.

MH games have no story so don't need to play MH! or MH2

wait, Monster Hunter G and 3 are two different games coming ot the wii? I'm confused now. And so BOTH aren't coming to the US, or just this G one?

just Monster Hunter G isn't coming. they haven't made any official statement about the release of 3 here, though they have said they want to bring it here.

Well if they port Monster Hunter 2 to the Wii in a similar fashion it may be worth petitioning their release in the west, other than that its hardly worth the trouble for just one game.
