Lost Revenue eh MonstaMack?

Care to show me where you found the budget for VC, as well as the calculations for how much was made from the sales that have been made so far?

Since you have no idea on the budget, you have no clue if it lost money or not.

And the fact that s SRPG that's a new ip outsold an excellent higher budget RPG from a known franchise. That must be downright terrible.

"Lost revenue" just means they would have sold moe copies if it had been multiplatform, not that they lost money on the game itself. They lost potential revenue by making it an exclusive, is what he is saying.

Not that I agree with that, but it's what MonstaMack's saying.

ohhh.....so then he's talking about every exclusive ever basically.

Yeah, basically, though one could argue that there are cases where exclusives do sell better than they would if they were multiplat.

It's possible, but it is hard to prove anything like that, so usually it is a safe bet that going multiplatorm will get you atleast a few more sales than you would get for being an exclusive.

...

My local gamestop has one used copy... the game is quite fun if you enjoy jrpg style. The combat is really neat and some of the best dialogue between characters.

I think the fact that the game look so "kiddie" doesn't help the sale.

Was looking for it today, no luck. Gonna try again tomorrow. If not, then ebay will have it.

Do you have a mall nearby that has a game store like GameStop or EB Games? They always have games like ToV in stock. That's where I can always find these niche games. But if you go to Wal Mart or something they probably won't have it because they only really stock popular games >_>

Well, checked all the best buy and gamestop in the kansas city area, no new ones and only two gamestops had used. So, I bought a used copy.

I have to say it even if it kills me: ToV is average. Not great like Phantasia and Symphonia or awful like Abyss. It is just a sign that Tales games need to try something new ASAP.

Without reading past that statement, you have already alienated pretty much every Tales fan, and you have also...led me personally to respect your opinion slightly less. It's not a popular opinion amongst people like myself.

That said, you have every right to it. I suggest not caring what I think, and also to keep on keeping on.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

does anyone know when "tales of ten" comes out?

What does that even mean?

He's probably talking about the rabid tales fans...like me. I don't see how Vesperia can be similar...it's the first step into a completely different direction for combat in Tales for a while. It's a good step too, I love the overlimit system, I love no more spamming sword rain alphas, the improved skill system making skills actually useful, and most importantly did I mention the overlimit system? Yah I love it =P Take the Custom Combo groove from CvS2 and put it in Tales? Best idea ever.

-=Dew the disco dancing fo da Unco Graham=-

Well ToV sold pertty badly for an HD game, only 280k. Unless they were moneyhatted by micro they prob lost money on this.

But then again Haze was moneyhatted by Sony & Free Radical is still going selling their business. So maybe even if there was a M$ moneyhat, it wasn't enough to keep ToV from losing money.
