Forums - Gaming - Another SEGA employee speaks out about Sonic

Also if sega thinks the Wii is just for Kids, then why did they decided to Publish the Conduit?????

They now have a financial stake in that game, if according to this "source" they do not believe the Wii can sell even a sonic game (which is laughable)

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Funny how he says Sega thinks the Wii is for families and yonug children, and here Sega is publishing MadWorld and the Conduit which are both coming out soon..

our minds were running on the same wavelength.

My conclusion. I am not going to be a random unidentified guy on the internet who claims to have sources. It sounds like he is just a random HD fanboy trying to further stread the idea the Wii is just for families.

What Sega needs to do is:

Take the good parts of Sonic Unleashed (meaning NO werewolf crap) and make a game out of it.

put a hundred levels in it.

make them all vary in design but flow well and NEVER EVER have sonic slow down. AT ALL. NEVER. SLOW. DOWN.

got that sega?

That can't all be true. Why would they not care about the Wii.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)
Nintendo ID: Mako91                  3DS code: 4167-4543-6089

so why not just make the Wii version and actually make profit? this is not another game (e.g. Ubisoft with AC, PoP and their Imagine crap), it's the same game with proven sales of previous games. doesn't make sense..

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

First of if this guys is in localization as he says then he doesn't know crap anyway. Sure he knows more than me but he sure as help wasn't in any management meetings where they decided to just lose money by putting a game out for 360/PS3 Sonic game. That doesn't even make sense. Yes, obviously they put their A team on the HD consoles, lucky for Wii/PS2 owners DIMPS is actually better at Sonic games than TEAM SONIC. However suggesting they only made the HD games for prestige knowing they'd lose money on them is ridiculous. No company makes games without an expectation of profit.

He may be an insider but he not an insider in the know and I'm convinced most of what he's saying is lunchroom BS talk of low level employees who havn't got a clue what's really happening. Afterall he's not too worried about losing his job is he?

Anyone saying that Sonic Unleashed on Wii is the better game hasn't played both. Wii version is gimped hardcore, especially with visuals.

The xbox360/ps3 game has a lot of effort in every aspect of the game...animations, visuals, sound. DIMPS did a splendid job porting the work Sonic Team did and adding motion controls. However, its missing levels, shorter levels all around, graphics are terrible (especially on an HD TV) compared to ps360 and motion controls are...well motion controls. Would you rather shake the wiimote to do an air dash attack or push A on a controller? Its a personal preference and nothing uniqe that we havent seen before.

There really isn't a possible explanation why this game would score higher on the wii. Other than the fact that maybe people reviewing Wii games have lower expectations.

I was actually showing the game to my friends last week on my 67 inch TV and switching between the 360 version and the Wii version. We all had a good laugh...

In any case, I don't see anything wrong with what the "source" said. Lots of companies use the Wii for the quick buck and Sonic Unleashed is still a playable game on the Wii...unlike Red Steel for example.

Now lets see the HD sequel tht fixes the issues Unleashed had...

Would your world collapse onto itself if someone had both versions and preferred the Wii/PS2 one?

That was a pretty cute post coming from you, I guess you didn't read my post, and also view your opinion as fact?
