His description of personality doesn't sound bad, and I think just that main picture, in the top left corner, of him that makes him look a bit stupid. The screenshots don't look too bad.

He looks ridiculous. I hope they'll get the character right, though. Somehow I trust they'll get it right but at the same time I have that nasty little feeling...

This thread is so pathetic. In the news article, tons of people were praising the character. Now, everyone is calling him gay just because he has an afro and is smiling. Do you all prefer the typical Tidus or Vaan style character? He's a great design. He isn't gay, he isn't a sissy, he isn't a wimp.

I realize that Final Fantasy is a series known for its fanboys, but the amount of fanboys that can't be pleased is staggering.

The only thing he has in common with Irvine is the coat and the fact that they use guns (although Irvine wielded a rifle, not two pistols). Personality and face are different, the latter is totally different anyway. My Fable II character also wears a coat, a hat and wields a rifle. Does he have anything in common with Irvine beyond that? Nope.

It has such high expectations and such a broad fanbase that it truly can not be pleased with one game.

I think people are just angry because you can clearly tell his gender for once.

how can u ppl hate on nomura on a design from either XIII but praise versus xiii when.....HE DID CHARACTER DESIGNS 4 BOTH!!!! It is simply hit and miss with u ppl.
