--Jan 14, 2009, 16:05, Tokyo--Sony Computer Entertainment announced today the first set of download content for White Knight Chronicles.

The Level-5 RPG will receive a free quest download on the 15th. Translated to English, the title of the quest is "What is the thing we are looking for." A multiplayer quest for the games online "live part," players are asked to search a cave for an unspecified item that someone has dropped.

Players will find a lot of new content in this quest, including new monsters and new high rank equipment waiting to be collected. Example weapons include the Demon's Sword and the Demon's Staff. New armor also awaits.

To try this quest, players will need to be of guild rank 7 and up and level 36 and up.

Sony plans more downloads in the future.

This looks like almost an MMO :)

But i don't see any significant increase in sale (other than sligthly reduced number of discs on used market) from this.

not MMO, but MO, like Diablo or Phantasy Star Online - hope this game is as fun to play as it seems

Nothing major, but if there is a continues stream of updates like this one, then it might sell a bit more than it otherwise would.

Very nice! It won't make people go grab the game, but it will keep WKC off the used rack. Thus increasing new game sales.
