I had exactly the same.

Big Nintendo fan, but last gen also had a PS2, mainly for the JRPGs. I fully expected a PS3 to eventually accompany my Wii, but it turned out that Microsoft would end up getting all the games important to me and some of those exclusive.

For me the three most important games were RE5, Beyond Good & Evil 2 and FFXIII. So after E3, with Lost Odyssey, Vesperia and Star Ocean exclusive AND some € 200,- difference in price, the choice was very easy.
