At CES SONY showed of a display with a 3D PS3 game....GT5 Prologue I think was what they showed off.

I think SONY need to really look at the financial climate and not bring 3D upon gamers just yet.

Each Playstation launches with a new major format type (CD- PS, DVD - PS2, Blu-Ray - PS3).....I believe for PS4 it will be 3D.....SONY should stop & cancel of any PS3 3D projects they may have imho.

Save all that tech for PS4.....by then it should be cheaper too

Sadly, while not mainstream. Wii has already done it.

I wonder why they havn't exploited this.

Lets hope sony will do it for PS4. That looks like it could be a fun way to play a FPS.

P.S If someone could embedd it would be very helpful. Plus send me a wall post telling me how to embedd!

to be honest with u, i predict nex gen systems will go by the way of the wii imo.............lol @ 3d though, i mean its ok for a special game but not for all games............my advice to sony is keep working away to bring ps3 manufacturing costs down not tinker with new concepts as of yet

I believe they will go with the motion sensing remote.....as the market prefers that now as shown by the wii

but thye need to add something differentiate themselves....maybe 3D will be that

Problem with 3d gaming is that everybody here has to buy new TV, on normal lcd's or plasma it won't work and they cost a small fortune. I'm going to buy the new goggles from Nvidia with a new 24 inch PC screen and it's going to cost me 550 euro.

as cool of a feature as 3D is, i sometimes get really dizzy playin some FPS games. Hope 3D gaming doesnt make it worst :S

Yes it certainly will be cheaper, but do you plan to replace your hd lcd when the new generation consoles arrive??? How many people do you think will buy a new TV just so they can game in 3d. Honestly I think that number would be quite low.

Watch this video. The person creates a 3d enviroment using the wii and a normal television. They didn't buy new equipment in order to do it. Thus, its very possible to create a 3d gaming experience without having to buy a new TV.
