You could try going to where the history is saved and delete them from there.
Been on any naughty sites lately, Soriku?
Lol.

I've been having the same problem. Haven't come up with a fix yet, unfortunately.
Have you tried only clearing 1 aspect of your private data at a time?
Anyway, I would download maxmem
http://www.analogx.com/CONTENTS/download/system/maxmem.htm
A tiny program that you can use to free up ram, start your computer up, use ctrl alt delete to close everything that you dont need down, then maxmem to free up your ram, then try deleting it
^^
Yep I give it 5 mins or so and lets me back on....

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
Just go into your Temporary Internet Files folder and delete it from there.
try CCleaner.com
That should help with cleaning Firefox. I run mine every day.
You wanna have your opinion, then you have to respect different opinions as well.
Run it in safe mode and then delete it, maybe.
Safe mode stops any other programs from running, right?
Okami
To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made. I won't open my unworthy mouth.

Yeah, it's because of all the crap. This happens to nearly everyone (comp running slow) who installs a lot of apps and leaves them there, and who doesn't refragment the hard drive regularly. There are other tricks too to get your PC to run more smoothly, for example to manage (disable) processes that are active in the background.
And if you DID get several warnings of viruses in the scans, the chance is big some are still there even if it appeared like the virus protection got rid of them. Often semi-harmless viruses remain undetected and simply keep slowing your PC down. This happens mostly to people who visit porn sites on a daily basis lol.
Well look on the bright side your computer didn't just die like mine did yesterday with my 360.. T_T thank god for Chrono Trigger...
