Forums - Sony - Now that the numbers are in, will Sony buy Level-5?

It's been three weeks sinse the release of White Knight Chronicles and if the Japan Preview is correct then that means that WKC sold 300K in just three weeks, and will be the 8th best selling PS3 game in Japan.

It should be able to get over 400K LTD in Japan which would make it the 4th most sold PS3 game in Japan. I don't know about you guys but that's pretty good.

So do you think that Level-5 will offer themselves to be bought by Sony, and if that happens will Sony buy Level-5?

yes theyll scrape together whatever change they find under the couches at the office and make the purchase no doubt about it... maybe they can return some bottles while theyre at it... joke sonyboys dont cry over it :P

Well Sony has so much money to throw around right now so who knows who they will all buy.

Why would they? They have managed to get an exclusive out of them so I'm pretty sure any other upcoming projects stand a chance of being exclusive, Sony cant justify buying developers right now......

i better put this in here before i get banned for not liking sony... http://www.crunchgear.com/2008/12/24/sony-losing-less-money-on-the-ps3-could-turn-a-profit-soon/... even though now ill probably get banned for going off topic :|

No.

Other than the fact that Sony is broke, Level 5 is working on DS now with Layton and DQ, so... no.

I think both companies might be more interested in just staying close, but not under the same roof.

Wasn't that just a rumor?

SONY: " Hey investors, weve decided to purchase Level 5 for multi millions of dollars which will not produce any income for at least 3 years however will drain more of our recourses while we pay for the development of an exclusive game. But in 3 years time, we expect to release a high quality game for you all to play."

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

Seeing as the average VGChartz user here has more money than Sony at the moment... I don't think so.
